My name is Kezia and I live inspired by makeup and hair.
I have dreamt of being a makeup artist my whole life, and followed my heart to qualify as a professional makeup artist and hair stylist in 2011.
Whilst studying at Makeup – The College in Durban, I had the good fortune to meet the talented Lindsay Nixon from Nixon Makeup. After landing a spot on her vibrant team in 2011 I’ve been fortunate to have endless opportunities come my way. Lindsay has inspired and encouraged me to become the artist I am today!
While continuing to freelance for Nixon Makeup, I formed my own business – Blend Makeup & Hair – in 2016, bringing together all of the knowledge and experienced I have gained over the last five years. Through my industry contacts, I now work with specialists on photographic, fashion, bridal, Matric dance, film, theatre and special effects hair styling and makeup.
I have worked on numerous ad campaigns with major clients such as Kingsley Heath, Mr. Price Home/Sport and The Hub. Shooting music videos with the Johannesburg team from Pilot Films has been one of the highlights of my career! There’s also been great enlightening moments working with experienced overseas production crews for film and TV series!
My objective is to make sure I have a happy, satisfied – and gorgeous client.
